A Quick Guide to Enzymes (for digestive health)

Enzymes are critical in your body help to perform very important tasks. These include building muscle, destroying toxins, and breaking down food particles during digestion.  Unfortunately our food supply is greatly depleted of the enzymes we need, this it is important to supplement.  With the many Enzyme options Young Living offers, it may get a bit confusing of which to take.

Open capsules: all capsules can be open and sprinkled on any food or mixed in any liquid.
Combinations: If more than one is recommended, you may take any combination or just one and see how your body responds, any combination of enzymes is acceptable.

Example: If you eat chicken with your evening meal, salad, vegetable, bread, juice, apple pie, you will need more enzymes to digest during the night:
2 Essentialzyme-4, 2 Essentialzyme, 1 Allerzyme, and 6 Detoxzyme (if you feel that’s too much reduce to what you feel comfortable with). For kids: 3 Mightyzyme, 1 Detoxzyme

Morning:
Essentialzyme
(adults take 2-4, children take 1-2 or MightyZyme 1-3)
Essentialzyme is an overall enzyme that supports the pancreas which produces glucose the body needs throughout the day for energy.

Enzymes with Meals, Food Categories:
Carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables...Essentialzyme, Detoxzyme, Allerzyme, MightyZyme
fats... Essentialzyme 4, Essentialzyme, MightyZyme
proteins of any kind... Essentialzyme 4, Detoxzyme, MightyZyme
sugars, starches... Essentialzyme 4, Allerzyme, Essentialzyme, MightyZyme

Bedtime:
Detoxzyme 5-15; or MightyZyme 3-4

I love finding articles that were written based on Gary's lectures. Here's some interesting information from Gary on enzymes and gut health:

"How many of you know that if you don’t eat after 3 o’clock, you sleep better? That’s because your stomach is not in turmoil. It is believed that if you can get into the 4th stage of sleep, you need to sleep for only 2½ hours to totally rejuvenate your body. You cannot get in the 4th stage of sleep with enzyme deficiency. It’s impossible. Build up those enzymes!
